Featuring Mark Desjardins

Mark Desjardins has served in role as Head of School for 22 years; 5 at TMI-Episcopal in San Antonio, 6 years at Holland Hall in Tulsa, Oklahoma and for the last 11 years he’s been at the helm of St. John’s School. Prior to his leadership roles he has served as a teacher and coach at Hotchkiss School, Groton School and Cushing Academy.  Mark has served on numerous professional and non profit boards, including service as President of The Independent Schools Association of the Southwest and President of The Southwest Association of Episcopal Schools. Mark earned his BA in East Asian Studies from Bates College in 1988 and earned both a Master’s and PhD from The University of Virginia. He’s been married to his wife Maro for 27 years and has four children ranging in age from 27 to 19.
