Matt A. Ferris is a Managing Director of the Texas Bullion Depository and a board member and President of Lone Star Tangible Assets (LSTA). He serves as a lead advisor on matters related to legal, insurance and regulatory matters, operations, security, and government relations. Mr. Ferris led the process that resulted in LSTA being selected as the operator of the Texas Bullion Depository, the only state government authorized precious metal depository in the United States. He has also served as the lead designer of the physical infrastructure of LSTA and the Texas Bullion Depository, including designing, building, and implementing all aspects of the high-security facility where LSTA and the Texas Bullion Depository operate. Matt has more than 14 years of experience in the precious metals industry and has held previous leadership positions in entrepreneurial organizations and large corporations.

As the founder of operations and Managing Director of the Texas Bullion Depository, Mr. Ferris has worked to ensure the agency successfully implemented the vision of legislators during the formation of the only state authorized precious metals depository. Matt has advised officials from the State of Texas regarding subsequent legislation to advance the position of the Depository and continue to expand the service offering to all Texans and other users its services. In both his role as Managing Director of the Texas Bullion Depository and as President of LSTA Matt has operated in numerous capacities over the years depending upon the needs of the organization, including sales, operations, shipping, security, customer service, and accounting.

Matt has previously worked for General Electric Corporation and spent numerous years building operations in mainland China within an entrepreneurial company he founded prior to his time in the precious metals industry. Mr. Ferris holds an MBA in Entrepreneurship and Corporate Finance from the University of Georgia, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from California State University at Chico.
