Speakers: Dr. Scott Dorfman & Matt Girotto

  

Dr. Scott Dorfman is a pediatric radiologist at Texas Children’s Hospital and Associate Professor of Radiology at Baylor College of Medicine and is board-certified in Diagnostic Radiology by the American Board of Radiology. He has been on staff at Texas Children’s since 1994 and formerly served as interim Chief of Pediatric Radiology. He performs all aspects of general pediatric radiology with a focus in plain film imaging, ultrasound and cross-sectional imaging. He has particular interest in Healhcare Informatics, Healthcare Qualtiy and Safety, and making improvements to the patient experience. Dr. Dorfman graduated from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. He completed an internship in Pediatrics followed by a residency in Diagnostic Radiology and a fellowship in Pediatric Radiology at Baylor College of Medicine. In addition to his full-time role at Texas Children’s Hospital, Dr. Dorfman serves as the Medical Director and Co-Director of Wellness at St. John’s School.

Matthew Girotto currently holds the position of senior vice president of Texas Children’s Hospital in the Texas Medical Center, responsible for the Department of Anesthesia, Food and Nutrition, Pathology, PT/OT, Radiology and Surgery. This includes physician services organization activities, transplant, trauma, educational programs, division and departmental administration and departmental research. Matt has held a variety of positions since joined Texas Children’s Hospital in August 2002.

His responsibilities include leading a senior leadership team of 3 executives and over 1,600 staff while partnering with 4 In Chiefs and a medical staff of over 700 MDs and advanced practice providers.

In his free time, Matt enjoys spending time with his family, coaching his kids sports teams, hosting friends and families, cooking, skiing, fishing, most any sport and live music.
