Speakers: Kendall Miller
Kendall Miller is an experienced developer, operator, owner and investor in commercial real estate in Houston, Texas. He is the grandson of William Farrington Miller, the original developer of Tanglewood and numerous historic commercial real estate projects in the urban core of Houston since 1945. Those projects include Post Oak Shopping Center on Post Oak Boulevard at Westheimer Road in Uptown Houston.
Following the legacy of his grandfather and father, William J. Miller, Kendall’s professional career in real estate spans three decades, including office buildings, retail centers, restaurants, luxury residential projects, urban land and community development. His expertise includes real estate finance, asset management and investments. He is an active civic leader and board member in Uptown Houston and numerous private and public institutions including Texas A&M University.
Kendall worked on defeating Zoning initiative,‘92. As President of Houstonians for Responsible Growth,’08-12, raised over $750,000 to influence municipal policy on transit and pedestrian oriented development, parks and open space, mixed use high density development, access management and traffic impact analysis. International Council of Shopping Centers, state Government Relations Chairman’03. Trustee of Houston Real Estate Business coalition. Sponsor of Houston Real Estate Council. Board member of the Park People, Tanglewood Homes Association, the Post Oak YMCA, the Children’s Fund and the Texas Public Policy Foundation. Texans for Lawsuit Reform speaker.
Kendall is married to Cynthia Marshall Miller (Cindy). He has three sons and is happily living in Grandfather’s Tanglewood house occupied by 4 generations since 1948.
