Speaker: Emily Chapman

As a certified Integrative Nutrition Health Coach through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, Emily coaches individuals and groups through their wellness journeys. She has over 3000 hours working with Parkinson’s patients, cancer patients, obese teenagers and diabetics. Recognizing a need for many to make preventative changes, she created a three month program for those who are interested in a creating good habits to have a long health span. She specializes in gut and brain health, and has a special interest in longevity and reversing biological age.

Emily has appeared on Perri Peltz’s health show on Sirius XM discussing brain health and preventive measures through good nutrition. Over the past two years, she was the keynote speaker at a private fitness conference in Antigua and has participated in other health conferences and panels throughout the country.

Born and raised in Houston, Emily began her career working in brand management for New York City companies such as Philip Morris USA and Radio City Music Hall. In 1995, she caught the first taste of entrepreneurship at the beginning of the World Wide Web. For the next seven years, she held positions and partnerships with the first Internet startups in the women’s, kids and education markets. After the Internet bubble burst in 2001, Emily left the business to raise two sons in Locust Valley, New York.

In her Texas youth, Emily spent most afternoons on the tennis court, and her love for the sport continued into her mid 50’s. Then a series of injuries, including a broken shoulder from a bike accident, a broken ankle from playing tennis and a severed ACL snow skiing, sent her to physical therapy over a seven year period. Knowing first hand that the body can heal through a proper diet and exercise, Emily embarked on her career as a health advocate and coach.

Her favorite influencers in the wellness space include her former professors from IIN — Dr. Mark Hyman, Dr. Andrew Weill, and Dr. Daniel Amen — as well as Dr. Richard Isaacson, Dr. Stephen Gundry, Dr. Micheal Greger, and Raj Shrom, her yoga instructor who helped her break through the scar tissue on all three injuries. When not traveling, you can find her on a yoga mat, hiking/walking in Memorial Park or cooking her favorite no sugar, no gluten creation.
