Johana Dickerson

Johana Dickerson is the executive director of the Czech Center Museum Houston, an internationally recognized cultural institution located in the heart of Houston’s Museum District. Before joining the CCMH in 2022, she worked in public health both in Texas and abroad. Johana attended high school here in Houston at St. John’s School. She has lived in Prague, London, Paris, and Houston. The daughter and granddaughter of Czech immigrants who fled communist Czechoslovakia after the Soviet army invasion in 1968, Johana was raised with strong ties to Czech speaking communities both in Texas and abroad. She continues to have close relations to the Czech Republic and recognizes the importance of cultural relevance and cultural impact.
