Speaker: Eloise Brice
Eloise Brice joined the University of Houston System in 2012 as vice chancellor for advancement and alumni for the University of Houston System and vice president for advancement and alumni for the University of Houston.
Brice coordinates all fundraising for the University of Houston System and all its campuses. She has planned and managed large, billion-dollar campaigns and implemented strong development programs grounded in best practices. Under her leadership, UH System launched a $1 billion fundraising campaign, the University’s first comprehensive campaign in a quarter century. The “Here, We Go” Campaign raised $1,235,427,334, surpassing its $1 billion goal 18 months ahead of schedule. This successful campaign concluded on August 31, 2020.
At the University of Houston, Brice is responsible for overseeing alumni relations, fundraising, stewardship, and volunteer engagement. Additionally, she serves as a member of the President’s Cabinet. Since her appointment, Brice built UH’s top institution-wide volunteer advisory committee titled the Board of Visitors, activated a Campaign Executive Committee, launched a National Development Council consisting of some of Houston’s most prominent leaders, and created the service -focused, elite student leadership group entitled Advancement Ambassadors. She currently serves in an ex officio role on the Boards of the University’s affiliated Foundations and works closely with the Energy Advisory Board.
Prior to her appointment at the university, Brice served as Executive Director of the University of Oregon Foundation and Associate Vice Chancellor at Vanderbilt University, among other leadership roles in higher education and consulting. She is the 2022 recipient of the Byron Welch Award for Lifetime Achievement in Fundraising from AFP Houston.
