Bill King is a life-long resident of the Houston area.  He earned undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Houston.

Mr. King has enjoyed a varied business and legal career, including serving as the national managing partner of Linebarger, Goggan, Blair & Sampson, Of Counsel to Bracewell & Giuliani and the president of Southwest Airport Services, Inc.  He is currently the managing director of a real estate investment firm and serves on the board of the Methodist Retirement Communities, a faith-based non-profit that operates twelve senior care facilities in Texas.

He wrote for the Houston Chronicle from 2005-2015.  From 2010-2015 he authored a bi-weekly column and served on the editorial board.  He has also authored two books.  His most recent is Unapologetically Moderate: My Search for Rational Center in American Politics.  He is a regular contributor to Real Clear Politics and publishes his own widely followed blog at www.BillKingBlog.com
