Professional Experience

David is a digital and technology leader with over 30 years of experience in financial services, retail, energy services, manufacturing, telecommunications and the US military.

David has extensive implementation and integration experience with complex information technology systems as well as technology and business transformation (including acquisition and business carve out), IT Governance, Organizational Change Management, IT Operations, Program Management and managing global distributed organizations.

Among the many topics he has consulted on during his career, specific areas of focus included data strategies, intelligent automation, technology to support regulatory concerns, Gen AI awareness and preparedness, effective technology project management, IT controls, technology organizational structures, and cybersecurity threat awareness and preparedness.

Recently, David has helped teams adopt low code/no code automation techniques to automate highly manual, error prone processes. The projects included proof of concept creation, training and development of citizen development teams, governance and ongoing operating model set up.

Selected Project Experience

He led the technology focused due diligence, carve out and later integration of an energy trading group with a global energy firm. The scope of trading included financial and physical trading instruments. His workstream oversaw systems, data (including market data), operating model and risk procedures.

He led the front to back automation of the order entry through fulfillment processes that reduced costs and sped up the timeline from order to fulfillment from 2 weeks to 24 hours. The project also led to developing data analytics capabilities to inform operational excellence programs.

He oversaw the design and implementation of a technology solution that combined both internal and public data to help a client better manage their healthcare costs. This platform served as the prototype for all other data federation projects for that client.

He supported a crypto currency exchange in their IPO journey by assessing and putting into place the financial processes, systems and analytics to support their current and future business.
